Why do I need the YES Program?

If you would like to learn how to bring balance into your life and to be mentally, emotionally, and physically healthier --- to recognize your strengths, identify areas that need improvement, and learn skills that will help you lead a happier, healthier life --- the YES Personal Development Program is for you.

What is the YES Program?

I have been helping patients recover from depression and anxiety and learn to manage their stress for over 30 years. I am Certified in Stress Management, a Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, a Member of the National Center for Crisis Management, and a Registrant of the National Register of Health Services Psychologists.

Using my expertise in personal development, trauma recovery, and the treatment of depression, anxiety, and stress, I have created the YES (YOUR EXCEPTIONAL SELF) Personal Development Program.  It is an innovative self-paced digital program that includes videos, audio recording, and supplementary materials and is designed to be used at home to enhance your therapeutic experience.  It is optional and, if you choose to participate, you will have free unlimited online access and the ability to download all the resources to be used at your convenience.

How does the YES Program work?

As a participant in the YES Program, you will receive written materials that explain the rationale and protocol for learning stress management, as well as video demonstrations and audio recordings for home practice. The first step in improving the quality of your life is to learn relaxation training, so the first module will focus on teaching you to relax your mind/body using a progressive muscle relaxation technique called a body scan.

Once you have learned the skill of relaxation and are able to quiet your mind, you will be ready to focus on other areas of personal development, such as improving your self-esteem, resolving childhood issues, improving your relationships, and maximizing your potential. You and I will review the focus areas that interest you and decide which materials will be most helpful. You will then receive a module which will include written and audio materials for home use to give you the tools you need to attain your personal goals and improve the quality of your life.

The YES (YOUR EXCEPTIONAL SELF) program provides the information and guidance you need to help you learn to manage your stress, cope with your challenges, and focus on areas of personal development. Combined with therapy, learning to use these tools will have positive effect on your mood, your health, and your overall sense of well-being.

Keys to Managing Your Stress: Relaxation Training

This course provides well-researched cognitive behavior treatments (CBT-I) to help insomnia patients fall asleep faster, wake up less frequently and sleep more efficiently. It includes  psychoeducational, cognitive, and behavioral components.
